Slippery elm (Ulmus fulva) has been used as an herbal remedy in North America for centuries.Native Americans used slippery elm in healing salves for wounds, boils, ulcers, burns, and skin inflammation. It was also taken orally to relieve coughs, sore throats, diarrhea, and stomach problems.
Slippery Elm powder has been shown to soothe the entire digestive tract, support lungs and urinary system. It can also be used as a poultice for boils and other skin disorders where it soothes and draws. It is valuable nutrient when recovering from illness or convalescence.

Directions: Place a heaped 5ml teaspoon in a cup, add a little liquid honey and stir to form a paste. Slowly add boiling water mixing as you go to make a soothing drink when cooler.
